Congress BJP face off over coal block row
Raipur, April 10: Congress and BJP have locked horns over the issue of coal block row. The Congress Tuesday attacked BJP president Nitin Gadkari and demanded the resignation of his party colleague and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh over a CAG report pointing to lapses in awarding a coal exploration contract to a firm linked to Gadkari's associate and MP Ajay Sancheti. The BJP dismissed the charges as baseless.

Raipur to be developed at par with Delhi-Mumbai: Brijmohan Agarwal
Raipur, April 10: Unveiling a series of development projects, the PWD Minister Brijmohan Agarwal said that as Raipur is his home town, he always cherished a dream to develop the city on the pattern of the metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai. Addressing a huge gathering during a public function he said that instead of hutments, the city should have concrete roof for the poor, proper roads and other infra-structure essential for a city.

CRPF personnel reaching out to people in Abhujmad
Geedam, April 10: A team of 150 CRPF personnel and officers of the 195 battalion reached village Mangnar in the insurgency hit Abujmad, and distributed articles of daily use to the villagers who had turned up in large numbers. Despite odds, the security personnel negotiated a stretch of 12 km to the village from the headquarters. The battalion commandant Sunil Kumar said that the trip was part of CRPF’s civic action mission.
